Who we are

The Pesticide-Free Devon Network aims to enable individuals, groups, businesses and organizations across Devon to develop activities and initiatives that reduce pesticide use in gardens, public green spaces, allotments, farms and other areas.

Pesticides can harm ecosystems and may affect human health, contributing to pollinator decline and impacting other organisms. Protecting local biodiversity means adopting nature-friendly strategies for managing unwanted organisms.

What We Do

Supporting Local Initiatives

Local action is fundamental to creating a Pesticide-Free Devon. Farmers, gardeners, councils, businesses, residents, and community workers using pesticide-free methods are contributing, and we want to support them. Click here for local initiatives.

Sharing Knowledge and Experience

A significant barrier to going pesticide-free is a lack of knowledge. We aim to create an accessible online resource and offer practical workshops and training to share nature-friendly land management skills. Visit our Resources section for more information.

Engaging Regionally and Nationally

Regional and national support is will also play a crucial role. By engaging with regional and national organizations, we can communicate the needs of our growing network to key decision-makers across the South West and the rest of the UK.
